Refund Policy

At Permiterra, we stand behind every drawing we deliver. If something is not right with your order, contact us first at orders@permiterra.com — we resolve issues directly and promptly.

Cancellation before work starts — full refund

If you cancel within 2 hours of placing a standard order and work has not yet commenced, you will receive a full refund. Contact orders@permiterra.com immediately with your order reference.

Rush delivery orders — no refund

Rush delivery orders (under 2 hours) are non-refundable once placed. This is disclosed at checkout before payment is completed.

Work already started — no refund

Once drafting has commenced on any order, no refund is available. Delivery of the secure download link to your email address constitutes full completion of the service. It is your responsibility to download and save your files within 48 hours using the provided link.

Plan denied by building department — full refund available

If your site plan is rejected by your local building department due to drawing quality or accuracy, we will revise it free of charge. If it is rejected a second time for the same reason, we will issue a full refund. See Section 3 for full details.

2. How to Request a Refund

All refund requests must be submitted by email to orders@permiterra.com. Please include:

  • Your order reference number
  • The email address used at checkout
  • A brief description of the reason for your request
  • Any supporting documentation (e.g. denial letter from building authority, if applicable)

We will acknowledge your request within 1 business day and aim to resolve it within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed through Paddle, our payment provider, and typically appear on your statement within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.

3. Permit Denial Guarantee

We have delivered over 5,000 plans across all 50 US states. If your plan is denied for reasons within our control, we will make it right — up to and including a full refund.

If your site plan is rejected by your local building department for any reason directly related to the quality or accuracy of our drawings, here is what happens:

  • Step 1: Contact us at orders@permiterra.com with the denial correspondence from the building authority.
  • Step 2: We will revise the plan to address the cited issues and resubmit-ready drawings will be delivered within 24 hours.
  • Step 3: If the revised plan is rejected a second time for the same reason, we will issue a full refund within 48 hours of receiving written confirmation of the second denial.

This guarantee does not apply in the following circumstances:

  • Your jurisdiction requires a certified, stamped, or sealed plan from a licensed surveyor, engineer, or architect — our plans are non-certified and this is disclosed before purchase
  • The rejection is due to inaccurate or incomplete property information provided by you at the time of ordering
  • The rejection is due to a change in project scope, new requirements added after delivery, or local zoning or land use issues unrelated to drawing quality
  • The order was for architectural drawings, 3D renderings, or any service other than a standard site plan

4. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Rush delivery add-on fee ($100) — non-refundable once the order is placed
  • DWG source file add-on — non-refundable once the file has been delivered
  • Custom architectural drawing sets where drafting has commenced
  • 3D rendering orders where drafting has commenced
  • Any order where the secure download link has been delivered and the files downloaded

5. Disputes and Chargebacks

If you are unhappy with your order, please contact us before initiating a dispute or chargeback with your bank or card provider. We resolve the vast majority of issues directly and quickly.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us is a breach of our Terms of Service. In cases where services were delivered as described, Permiterra reserves the right to dispute the chargeback and recover associated fees. Our full dispute policy is set out in the Terms of Service.
