Terms of Service

By accessing or using any service offered at permiterra.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using any service offered at permiterra.com ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Site or place an order.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Permiterra ("we", "us", or "our"). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Services

Permiterra provides professional drafting services for clients in the United States, including:

  • Site plans for building permit applications
  • Architectural drawing sets for residential and commercial projects
  • 3D photorealistic renderings (exterior and interior)
  • Downloadable pre-made drawing sets (where available)

All services are provided remotely. Permiterra does not provide licensed engineering, land surveying, or legal advice. Our drawings are prepared for permit submission purposes and do not substitute for the services of a licensed professional where required by local jurisdiction.

Important: All Permiterra drawings are non-certified plans. They are not stamped, sealed, or signed by a licensed engineer, architect, or land surveyor. Some jurisdictions require a certified or stamped plan — it is your responsibility to verify your local requirements before ordering. If your jurisdiction requires a certified plan, our service may not be suitable for your project.

3. Orders and Payment

All orders are processed through Paddle, our authorized payment provider. By placing an order, you authorize Paddle to charge the stated amount to your selected payment method. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions — your card statement will reflect a charge from Paddle.

Order confirmation is sent to your email address immediately upon successful payment. Prices are listed in US Dollars. All applicable taxes are calculated and collected by Paddle at checkout.

By completing checkout, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service and our Refund Policy. Your IP address and timestamp are recorded at the time of agreement.

4. Delivery

Standard site plan orders are delivered within 24 hours of order placement and receipt of all required property information. Rush delivery (under 2 hours) is available as a paid add-on where selected at checkout.

Delivery is made by email to the address provided at checkout. You are responsible for providing a valid, accessible email address. Permiterra is not responsible for non-delivery caused by incorrect contact details, spam filters, or email provider issues.

Delivery timelines apply to business hours and are estimates, not guarantees. In the event of an unexpected delay, we will notify you by email.

5. Revisions

Standard revision policy for site plans: unlimited revisions to correct errors in our work or to reflect changes required by the permitting authority.

Revision policy for architectural drawing sets: 2 rounds of revisions to floor plans and 1 round to elevations and sections are included. Revisions required by city or county plan checkers are provided at no additional charge.

Revisions are limited to the scope of the original order. New requirements, scope changes, or additions to the original brief may be subject to additional fees, which will be communicated before work begins.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

Standard orders may be cancelled within 2 hours of placement, provided work has not yet commenced. To request a cancellation, contact us immediately at orders@permiterra.com with your order reference number.

Rush delivery orders are non-refundable once placed, regardless of whether work has started. This is clearly disclosed at the time of checkout.

Once work has commenced on any order, no refund will be issued. Delivery of the completed drawings constitutes full completion of the service.

If you are dissatisfied with the delivered work, contact us at orders@permiterra.com before initiating any dispute with your payment provider. We are committed to resolving issues directly and promptly.

7. Permit Denial Guarantee

We stand behind the quality and accuracy of every drawing we deliver. If your site plan is rejected by your local building department for any reason directly related to the quality or accuracy of our work, we will revise the plan for resubmission at no additional charge.

If the revised plan is rejected a second time for the same reason, we will issue a full refund. To qualify, you must provide written confirmation of denial from the building authority (email or letter) to orders@permiterra.com. Refunds under this guarantee are processed within 48 hours of receiving the denial confirmation.

This guarantee does not apply in the following circumstances:

  • Your jurisdiction requires a certified, stamped, or sealed plan from a licensed surveyor, engineer, or architect
  • The rejection is due to inaccurate property information provided by you at the time of ordering
  • The rejection is due to a change in project scope after delivery
  • The rejection is due to local zoning, land use, or policy issues unrelated to drawing quality

We have delivered over 5,000 plans across all 50 US states. This guarantee has rarely been needed — but it exists because we are confident in our work.

8. Chargebacks and Disputes

Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting Permiterra to resolve the issue constitutes a breach of these Terms. In the event of a wrongful chargeback — where services were delivered as described — Permiterra reserves the right to recover the disputed amount plus any associated fees and costs incurred in disputing the chargeback.

All disputes must first be submitted to orders@permiterra.com. We will respond within 1 business day. If a resolution cannot be reached, you may escalate through Paddle's dispute resolution process.

9. Intellectual Property

Upon full payment and delivery, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the delivered drawings for the specific property and project described in your order. Drawings may be submitted to permitting authorities and used by licensed contractors for the permitted project.

You may not resell, redistribute, sublicence, or use the drawings as templates for other projects without prior written consent from Permiterra. All underlying intellectual property in the drawings remains with Permiterra.

Source files (DWG format) are available as a paid add-on. Purchase of source files does not transfer intellectual property ownership.

10. Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate property information, including address, lot dimensions, setback requirements, and any other details required to complete your order. Because we work remotely using publicly available aerial and GIS data, we are dependent on both that data and the information you provide. Any discrepancies between the physical property and available data should be communicated to us before or during the order process.

Errors in the delivered drawings that arise from inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information provided by you are not covered under our revision policy or our Permit Denial Guarantee without additional charge. If you identify a discrepancy after delivery that was caused by a data source error on our part, we will correct it at no charge.

You are responsible for verifying that the delivered drawings meet the requirements of your local permitting authority before submission. We recommend reviewing your jurisdiction's permit application checklist before ordering. Permiterra makes no guarantee that drawings will be approved by any specific jurisdiction.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Permiterra's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the services provided shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

Permiterra is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, permit application fees, contractor costs, or project delays, arising from any issue with the delivered drawings.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the services provided shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be referred to binding arbitration.
